Starlite Aviation Group grants loans to an organisation involved in procuring funds for the set-up of black owned businesses and other related enterprise development requirements, through the Company’s Enterprise Development initiative programme. The selected beneficiary is assisted by Starlite, to grow the business financially and achieve operational independence.
Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) is an integral driver of economic and social transformation in South Africa. Within the context of the Government’s BBBEE Strategy, and as part of our corporate governance commitment, the Starlite Aviation Group fully supports the implementation and sustainability of BBBEE in the group.
The current BBBEE Strategy of the Starlite Aviation Group is focussed on aligning with the recent amendments to the Codes of Good BBBEE Practice. We are working closely with various external stakeholders to ensure that the requirements of the revised codes are addressed and compliance is achieved to the best of the organisation’s resources and ability.
